The Westfield Half started in 1994 when a group of runners from the Empire One Running Club approached the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Westfield with the idea of a half-marathon fundraiser. Since then, we have seen the Westfield Half grow from 142 runners to well over 600. In 2011, there were nearly 1,000 participants! We have also added a 10K, a 5K run/walk, and a children’s race. Since that first race 30 years ago, this event has raised ~$300,000 for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Westfield.
