Visual Arts
The Club's Art Studio is a dedicated space for Boys & Girls Clubs of America's core program area, "The Arts." The brightly decorated space provides members with professional-quality art supplies and instruction from our experienced full-time Art Enrichment Director.
Daily Projects
Club members can come and go from the Art Studio during regular hours. Our Arts Enrichment Director and Studio Assistant organize and implement a variety of projects and activities after school and during school vacations. Covering everything from drawing, painting, and collage, a majority of the daily activities are geared toward the National Fine Arts Program, allowing members to work year-round on building their confidence and nurturing their developing skills as young artists while experimenting with color theory and the elements/principles of design in a calm, dedicated creative space.
Fine Arts
National Fine Arts is a year-round program that encourages artistic expression among Club members ages 6-18 through drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, mixed media and sculpture displayed at local and regional exhibits. A panel of distinguished local artists judge art pieces and select winners that are then submitted to the National Fine Arts Exhibit. Winners of the national contest have their work displayed throughout the year at BGCA events, including the annual National Conference. Each winning work is featured in a virtual gallery on BGCA's website.
