There was a culture called the Dilmun culture among them, which was very old and existed along the Persian Gulf. It was as old as the ancient civilizations of Sumerians and the Egyptians. Saudi Arabia became an independent nation after the Ottoman Empire was defeated in World War I. Abdul-Aziz bin Saud regained power for the House of Saud. In 1932 the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was formed with Abdul-Aziz was king.

What do you call a witch in the middle of the desert?

A Sandwich

What is brown, sticky, and walks through the desert?

A caramel.

I told my friend a joke about a desert, but he didn't laugh.

I guess some people just don't understand dry humor.

Why should someone bring a car door with them in the desert?

If it gets too hot, they can roll down the window.

Spanakopita !

There have been three chief influences that have molded the Saudi Arabian cuisine alongside their cultural norms and values depicted in the Saudi Arabian Cooking today. First is the nomadic Bedouin influence. Second is the food constraints given in the Holy Book of Quran. Third is the ancient Arabian Dominance of the spice routes. Some of the common food items in Saudi Arabian cuisine include wheat, rice, lamb, chicken, yogurt, potatoes, seafood and dates.
