Christian T. Torres
2017 Youth of the Year Nominee
Christian T. Torres has been a member of the Boys & Girls Club for 6 years. A member of Westfield High School’s class of 2018, Christian plans to study at Westfield State University, majoring in either Sports Management or Sports Medicine. Christian plays on both the high school basketball and volley ball teams.
Serving as the treasurer in the teen leadership group, Keystone Elite, Christian has completed more than 100 volunteer hours in the past year at both Club and community events like the Veteran’s Breakfast and the city’s annual Easter Egg Hunt.
At the Club, Christian found a “judgment-free” environment where he can be himself as he works to inspire other youth to take an active role in their personal well-being by incorporating physical activity into their daily routines. When Christian is not working in our licensed afterschool program, Kidz Klub, he actively volunteers with our Athletic Coordinator, helping out with the Basketball Program and introducing members to a variety of different sports and activities after school.
