Teens
Our Senior Games Room offers programs that directly focus on issues pertaining to today's teenager. Teens interact with their peers and a full-time Teen Outreach Coordinator and participate in educational and social activities. Teens are also given the opportunity to join peer leadership groups, civic groups, travel to national conventions, work part-time at the Club and much more!
Check it out! A virtual Club experience for teens, www.MyClubMyLife.com - Boys & Girls Clubs of America's site - not only features Club programs, it also hosts fun and interactive elements, including an exclusive music player, articles about the latest games and movies, polls on current events and a section that allows teens to comment on issues that are important to them.
Leadership Opportunities - Keystone Club, a teen leadership club that promotes community service and other values of productive citizenship. Keystone members elect officers, choose their own activities and plan and implement community service projects. A national charter entitles our Keystone Club members to participate in regional and national Keystone conferences.
Real Work Experience! Teens can apply to become Junior Staff at our Club. This program helps Club members earn money while exploring a career in youth or human services, particularly Boys & Girls Club work. Young people prepare for future roles as human services professionals by participating in career development activities, discovering the importance of community service, and building customer service skills. Teens can also apply to work in the kitchen and be bus monitors!
"The Club has given me the opportunity to travel to places I will not forget, listen to lectures from people I will never forget and meet new friends from different states all over the country. Without the Club I wouldn't have had the chance to have these life changing experiences." Shanice A. 14 years old
