At the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Westfield we work closely with parents to ensure children have positive developmental experiences both at the Club and in school.
Testimonial:
"I first found out about the Club while trying to find a safe, supervised place for my daughter to go while I was working. However, as she grew up; and the Club grew - it became quite apparent that the club offered so much more than just a safe place to be. She had functional & meaningful activities to participate in, homework help and also artistic programs like digital photography. The club also offers sports programs such as the swim team which not only helped develop her fitness and coordination but assisted in enhancing her self esteem and showed her how to work within a team. Then of course there are the leadership programs of Torch & Keystone Clubs which helped to instill a sense of civic responsibility. My daughter is a better person in large part due to the club. I also have to say that I feel the club carries over the moral values that we try to instill here at home. The club has always felt comfortable to me as a parent. All the staff members are committed to the children and teens/young adults they serve; and are approachable to parents - which to me is crucial. The leadership/management of the club is focused, dynamic, and personally committed to the clubs mission." Donna Erickson, Parent and Board Member
"The Club goes beyond just being a safe place for our children. It is a place where my daughter has fun learning through a variety of activities, from educational programs to performing arts. Most importantly the Club has taught her how to be a good friend." Diane Ruszala, Parent
